The twentieth edition of ECOFIRA, the International Environmental Solutions Fair, was held from the 14th to the 16th of November 2023. This event, organised by REDIT (the Network of Technological Institutes of the Valencian Community) is both a special space and the best commercial showcase for new products and innovations, workshops, conferences, and side events aimed at environmental conservation.
In this field, on 14th October, a range of parallel round tables were set up on industrial and environmental sustainability, one of which was directly related to decarbonisation.
In this same round table, Elena Marchante participated together with the Spanish Instituto Tecnológico de la Energía (ITE) and the Spanish Autoridad Portuaria de Valencia in the forum related to “Decarbonisation” in which methodologies to reach its achievements, as well as related products and processes, were discussed. Furthermore, the Life Superbiodiesel project was mentioned as an example of decarbonisation.
Members of this round table concluded that the Valencian Community has a strong potential to lead technological developments in the process of decarbonisation, helping the energy transition in the search for a sustainable future.
Moreover, the Valencian Instituto Tecnológico de Producto Infantil y Ocio (AIJU) was also involved as an exhibitor, showing the public several projects and advances related to the #circulareconomy and #decarbonisation, including the Life Superbiodiesel project, which received a great deal of interest.
